ROME, IT – The Vatican is reportedly postponing a much anticipated report outlining diversity among the leadership of the Roman Catholic Church.

A group of high-ranking Cardinals commissioned a report from global management consulting giant McKinsey & Company documenting diversity in the institution.

Sources close to the Cardinals indicate the postponement deals with worries among the leadership that public perception of the Church may be negatively impacted if the report is published.

Meanwhile, an anonymous source within McKinsey & Company, who worked on the report, says that the Church didn’t score well on gender or ethnic diversity.

The McKinsey source declined to comment on the report’s findings with regards to those identifying as LGBTQ.

The source also indicated that several priests and bishops appointed to assist in the compilation of the report were re-located during the engagement and new contact information was not provided.

The report was expected to be published in early March 2020 but has been postponed indefinitely.
