MONTREAL, QC – Executives at SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. have mandated that certain employees undergo an ethics seminar in response to recent charges and settlements with the federal government.
The workshop, entitled the Behaviour Restitution Instructional Business Ethics Seminar, or BRIBES, aims to instill moral and ethical principles throughout SNC’s global workforce when dealing with corrupt governments and organizations.
“The goal for this training is that our employees will instinctively think BRIBES when working within corrupt jurisdictions,” said Erik Ryan, Executive Vice-President, Strategy, Marketing and External Relations for SNC Lavalin.
The seminar will be mandatory for all new employees and a select group of repeat offenders.
“As long as BRIBES are on top of everyone’s minds, I’ll know we’ve done a great job,” continued Mr. Ryan.
