Restaurant Brands International to launch second cereal: Chocolate Whopper Bites

TORONTO, ON – Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI) is looking to grow their sugary children's cereal portfolio after the launch of Timbits cereal.
“By all accounts, Timbits cereal has been exceptionally well received in the marketplace and we’re excited to grow in this category,” said Joshua Kobza, Chief Operating Officer for RBI.
RBI will build on the fast food brand-to-cereal aisle concept by focusing on another of its well know brands, Burger King, and introduce Chocolate Whopper Bites later this spring.
“The Whopper is such a powerful brand that we think eager parents will be excited to buy their kids Chocolate Whopper Bites,” continued Mr. Kobza.
Although Mr. Kobza didn’t comment on additional cereals in the pipeline, one inside source says that RBI is also exploring the creation of Popeyes chicken flavoured oatmeal.
