REDWOOD CITY, CA – Impossible Foods Inc. is reportedly getting set to launch into the pharmaceutical market in 2021 with the release of the ‘Impossible Vaccine.'

The plant-based meat substitute company is eyeing expansion to take advantage of a growing market in the alternative and holistic medicine space.

The company had a long-term vision for the vaccine division but decided to accelerate development as the COVID-19 pandemic has thrust many companies into the health and bio tech industries.

“We realized there is substantial overlap between customers in the alternative meat market and the alternative medicine market,” said Sheetal Shah, Senior Vice President, Product and Operations with Impossible Foods.

The company is looking to appeal to those customers who wish to feel healthy without taking any efficacious steps toward healthful behavior.

The key demographic that Impossible Foods is eyeing are those in the anti-vaccination movement which is why launching a fake vaccine during the pandemic appealed to several senior executives.

Executives contracted a small research firm to explore ways to create a vaccine that will physically resemble an actual vaccine without providing any disease immunity whatsoever.

“Every day across in this country there are people who are left out of the social experience that includes a healthy dose of vaccination,” explained Shah. “We wanted to create a way for children and adults to indulge in that social experience without any of the stigma or any of the effect.”

The research firm was also tasked with analyzing the optimal time to launch their first 'Impossible Vaccine.'

Sources close to the company state that the growing economic and social unrest in the United States, with mounting skepticism around China and the WHO make early 2021 ideal for the launch.
