IKEA set to launch streaming service in 2021

LEIDEN, NE – Another player is joining in on the streaming wars. That player is a multinational group selling ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories.
IKEA is joining the ranks of Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Crave, HBO Max, Apple TV, and Disney+ in providing consumers with on-demand access to original programming.
Some of the original shows reportedly in the works include:
Poäng Wars – Two teams of undergraduate students assemble modern art using the famous Poäng chair
Moms & Malms – Take a trip around the world as matriarchs showcase their extravagant Malm lifestyles
The Billy Bookcase Diaries – A sombre drama focusing on the lives of teenagers who struggle to escape a household consumed by Ikea furniture
Ektorp vs. Klippan – Each week two sofa models battle each other for the ultimate comfort championship
The IKEA streaming service is set to launch in mid 2021 at an expected cost of $6.99/month.
