NEW YORK, NY – It has happened again. Another high-level executive has stepped down amid revelations of a sexual relationship with an employee.
A group of HR leaders have come together to ask a simple question: “can our executives please stop sleeping with employees?”
The latest casualty is BlackRock executive Mark Wiseman and just last month it was McDonald’s CEO Steve Eastbrook.
These gentlemen join a long list of executives in similar compromising positions. Last year Intel Chief Executive Brian Krzanich resigned, along with Darren Huston of Priceline, Brian Dunn of Best Buy and Harry Stonecipher of Boeing.
“I just don’t understand what’s so hard about not sleeping with employees,” said a Senior VP of an Human Resources consulting group. “It’s actually pretty easy to not sleep with junior level employees. In fact, we'd would prefer that executives engage in other activities to alleviate stress such as take up heavy drinking."
