Facebook to ban ‘bad actors’ on platform; celebrity pages frozen

MENLO PARK, CA – To address the latest round of criticisms as the US Election nears, Facebook has committed to taking a much stronger stance against bad actors on their platform.
An official statement from the company explained that Facebook "has developed advanced security operations to take down any threat and protect users from manipulation."
On Wednesday the social media giant announced that the official Facebook pages for Nicolas Cage and Rob Schneider were taken down.
“Facebook will not let bad actors promote manipulating content disguised as artistic forms of expression,” the statement continued.
Multiple accounts connected to The Twilight Saga were temporarily suspended, although Taylor Lautner’s official page remains active, confusing experts.
