ABBOTSFORD, BC – A group of protesters in BC’s lower mainland barricaded themselves in front of construction equipment that was attempting to replace deteriorating water lines.

The protesters appear to be joining in solidarity with those in opposition to oil and gas pipelines except taking it one step further.

“It’s critical that we take a strong stance against pipeline projects of any kind,” stated one of the protesters.

When asked how area residents should get fresh water if not through water pipelines, an environmental activist said effected residents should purchase bottled water that is delivered by truck or rail.
