EDMONTON, AB – In a brief moment of recollection, an Edmonton teenager realized the Canadian department store is actually the same Hudson’s Bay Company from his grade 3 social studies textbook.

“This is mind blowing,” exclaimed the teenager, “I thought my teacher was full of shit and grasping for our attention.”

When asked if the teenage will shop at Hudson’s Bay he replied, “absolutely not, I think my aunt will still buy sweaters there, but I probably won’t shop there.”

The 349-year-old retailer reversed a re-brand back to Hudson’s Bay in 2013 in an effort to appeal to the nostalgic, but deceased, consumer who came of age in the late 1600s.
