QUEBEC CITY, QC – The leadership of Quebec separatist party Bloc Québécois do not support the latest province expressing separatist sentiments.

The Bloc stated they don’t approve of the talk coming from groups within Alberta and won’t be supporting the movement.

“This unoriginal concept is ludicrous and we will not support such divisive rhetoric,” stated Yves-François Blanchet at a recent press event.

The Bloc also cited the Alberta separatists movement as an example of how anglophones are appropriating French Canadian culture. “Our culture should remain within the borders of Quebec,” he continued.
